The Shumka Centre helps artists and designers bring their ideas, practices and projects into the world. As a hub for creative entrepreneurship and innovation at Emily Carr University, we connect students and emerging creatives with industry and community partners, mentorship, paid opportunities, and resources to help develop their creative practice and professional experience.

​Join us for an online info session to get to know Shumka Centre—what we do, who we work with, and how you can get involved during your time at ECU. We’ll introduce upcoming flagship programs such as Art Apprenticeship Network and Design for Startups, share examples of industry and community-partnered projects, and talk about other opportunities available to students throughout the year.
