Amélie Jousseaume (she/her) is a BFA senior student at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Although multidisciplinary, the core of her practice is rooted in painting. Influenced by her academic background in biology, a strong interest in epistemology and holistic thinking, her work navigates and allows the coexistence of worlds that are felt, measured and interpreted. Born and raised in France, she is currently developing her practice in Vancouver, on the unceded ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
