April Tian is an industrial designer and art educator who graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design Industrial design major, and continuing her graduate study in the interdisciplinary design field at the same school. April started her artistic journey at the age of 3, she loves to record the beautiful creatures in her own way. She is focusing on visual art expressions for the first 18 years of her life, then moved into the design field for a greater influence when she gets into industrial design major for undergraduate study. She advocates paying attention to the importance of spiritual life and trying to “live in the moment”. She is committed to combining sustainable design with product design and making her own contribution to the earth. April tends to convey a sustainable lifestyle by designing furniture, and incorporate cultural elements into furniture design, feeling the fascination of oriental culture while advocating the importance of spirit.
