Danika is an interdisciplinary designer studying Industrial Design on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territories. Her childhood in a small town on the canadian prairies (Cree, Métis, Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot / Niitsítapi ᖹᐟᒧᐧᒣᑯ), and Plains Cree land) has shown her that design for more-than-human beings is an integral societal need. She is passionate about using design to reduce the disconnect between humans and the land in an effort to increase sustainable everyday practices.
