Designer, Design for Startups, Fall 2023

Jo has a background in Interaction Design. She has always wanted to work in an industry which lets her be creative while also bringing out the technical side and merging them to form a beautiful, meaningful product. Her design practice includes subjects such as behavioral patterns, user centric design, ethical design and human computer interaction.

Being from a city which is a mammoth startup hub in India, she naturally started working for a UI UX design startup after graduation. She also had a brief stint at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru where she worked in the Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing Lab on a project called Dhwani. The project was to develop a digital resource for hearing impaired children to develop speech using speech therapy techniques and integrating them into a digital platform. This is when she realised her passion for Service Design and Designing for the healthcare field.
