Margo Sorbara
Research Assistant, Design for Regional Resilience

Margo Sorbara is a designer and maker based on the unceded Coast Salish territories, where they are currently completing their Bachelors of Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. They work predominantly within the realms of textiles and ceramics, focusing on the conjunction between body and materiality to create work around gender, modification, and power. They are interested in properties and processes that explore circularity through material lifecycles. During their studies, Margo has worked in local food systems as a farmer and grew up nurturing a relationship with food from garden to kitchen.
