Maura Rodgers has been an entrepreneur for 15 years. During that time, she has built and cultivated teams and the marketing efforts at numerous technology companies. In 1998, Maura co-founded her first Internet startup, Spinway in Palo Alto, California. Spinway partnered with large offline companies like Kmart, Barnes & Noble, and Capital One to offer free cobranded Internet access to their customers and became the fastest-growing ISP in history. In addition, Maura co-founded Strutta in 2008, a social marketing platform, which was acquired in 2014. She is now in the middle of building her next venture, Ground Control, a premium, product marketplace and online ai sales tool. She also co-founded the Startup Visa Canada initiative with Boris Wertz and Danny Robinson, is an enthusiastic promoter of Vancouver’s technology scene, a regular speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship and customer development and a strong advocate for women in tech.
