Priyanka Poulose (she/her) is a design strategist, communication designer, and administrator with expertise in project coordination, stakeholder management, and event planning across technology, academia, nonprofit, and creative industries. She has partnered with reputed organizations like B.C. Women’s Hospital, UBC Centre for Menstrual Cycle & Ovulation Research, and ECU’s Health Design Lab (among others) contributing her design and facilitation skills to notable healthcare and community-focused initiatives. Her leadership has seen the development of 40+ brand identity and spatial design projects across India and Canada.

As Program Development Officer, Creative Industries + External Engagement at Emily Carr University, Priyanka brings a deep commitment to advancing innovative, equity-centred programming and strategic partnerships that support ECU’s emerging creatives. At Shumka Centre, Priyanka previously led the Technology Pathways for Creative Futures Program, connecting 95 students with 31 creative industry professionals through innovative work-integrated-learning (WIL) programming; and coordinated a national grant initiative in collaboration with 36 PSIs and community organizations, focused on empowering creative practitioners through entrepreneurial education, mentorship, and resources.  

Priyanka holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai (2015) and a Master of Design from Emily Carr University (2024) where she was awarded the Governor General Gold Medal and the WA Architects Master of Design Award. As an interdisciplinary designer, her practice is rooted in feminist values and participatory methods, often exploring the intersections of “playfully provocative” design, community engagement, and social equity.
