Shelby is an interdisciplinary designer, currently finishing her fourth-year of Industrial design at Emily Carr University. Growing up she was surrounded by the rocky mountains in Calgary and spent lots of time in nature, giving her a great appreciation for her surrounding environment. This has influenced her work by highlighting the need for care and reciprocity within design. This has recently led her into design projects focusing on education and support for women. Moving forward she hopes to continue her practice designing for care, she would like to see this translate into designs that encourage more sustainable futures.
