Shraddha Kumbhar
Designer, Design for Startups, 2021

Shraddha graduated with a BA(Hons) in Product Design from Pearl Academy, India, affiliated with Nottingham Trent University, UK. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Design (Interaction) at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Shraddha focuses on creating designs that have a balanced blend of aesthetics and functionality that provides a high-quality experience and satisfies the user’s needs. She is known for her research, adaptability and ability to pick up new skills efficiently.

Her bachelor’s project, KARA108RG – Flood Emergency Equipment, has been awarded the Most Professional Project at the School of Design Jury Awards 2020 by Pearl Academy. The project was also virtually showcased at Global Grad Show (GGS) 2020, part of Dubai Design Week. It was also a part of a specially curated list for GGS by Caroline Roux, a London based design journalist. In addition, Dezeen, Asia Today and Disruptive Asia made mentions of her project.

Before joining Emily Carr, she interned as an Innovator at Digital Impact Square (DISQ), a TATA Consultancy Services Foundation Initiative, in Nashik, India. Furthermore, in 2019 she got an opportunity to get selected for the Student Exchange Program at University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, UK. After these remarkable experiences, she is more eager to explore her design path globally.
