Zubda Tahir

Designer, Design for Startups, Fall 2024

 

Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Zubda Tahir is an interdisciplinary designer with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience Design. She creates accessible digital solutions that blend technology, design, and social impact, particularly for underrepresented communities. Her capstone project, for example, improved healthcare workflows in Punjab’s Expanded Program of Immunization by enhancing accessibility for low-tech literate users. Zubda holds a BSc in Computer Science from Information Technology University, Lahore, and UGRAD Semester exchange from Lewis-Clark State College in the USA. With over five years in the industry, she has developed SaaS products that improve operations and user engagement across diverse sectors. Now pursuing a Master of Design at Emily Carr University, Zubda will be participating in Shumka Centre’s Design for Startups, where she applies her technical and creative expertise to promote innovation and community development.
